About Local Meats


Being raised on ranches, Carylie Proffitt, the founder of Local Meats, understands the importance of knowing where our food comes from and wants to share her knowledge of quality meats.

She started by selling sides of beef after learning that not everyone has the space for an entire beef. Carylie, began selling packaged meat to her friends and family in 2013.

Through her experience she learned consumers don’t have access to high quality meat and don't have an understanding of where their meat actually comes from.

Opening Local Meats in 2016 has given consumers access to quality meat to share with their friends and families. Launching Local Meats online will allow her to reach even more American families, and spread the love of true quality meats.
